About Our Yahara River Watershed
The Yahara River Watershed contains some of the largest wetlands left in Dane County and spans over 359 square miles. The Yahara Lakes were created nearly 10,000 years ago from a glacier deposit and has since become an integral part of the lives of Dane County residents.
