Frozen Assets, a party to raise funds for the Clean Lakes Alliance and the start of an endowment at the Madison Community Foundation. The event will also introduce Friends of Clean Lakes, a volunteer auxiliary organization that supports the Clean Lakes Alliance and which will produce the event.
Frozen Assets will be held at Graze on Saturday, February 18th in the heart of Madison’s WinterFest activities on the capitol square. It will offer attendees the chance to watch WinterFest action on the snow-filled square–from cross-country skiing to snow sculpture contests–while enjoying the luxury of an upscale winter wonderland.
In keeping with the theme of celebrating our frozen lakes as valuable assets, our community must treasure, Frozen Assets will be an indoor-outdoor party set in a winter wonderland of snow sculptures, an outdoor ice bar (serving snowcone cocktails!) an indoor Après-ski* lounge, and more. Appetizers and desserts crafted by the award-winning chef of Graze and L’Etoile will be featured.
People will enter the party through an enchanting winter landscape of snow sculptures and ice carvings set about in the outdoor terrace of Graze. An outdoor ice bar and snow lounge will make a great setting for talking with friends, while heat lamps keep everyone comfortable. Indoors, attendees will find themselves in a cozy winter chalet setting, complete with an Après-ski theme, a DJ lounge, and a mix-and-mingle ambiance.
A live auction will help raise financial support for the Liquid and Frozen Assets Fund, which will be operated as an endowment at the Madison Community Foundation. The Clean Lakes Alliance will administer grants from the fund so that they reach organizations working to improve water quality within the Yahara Watershed.
