Designed to be as educational as it is fun, the Mendota Freeze Contest calls attention to the year-round importance of our lakes. What’s the earliest the lake has ever frozen? When did the Statue of Liberty reside in Lake Mendota? Who decides when the lake is officially frozen? You’ll find interesting facts and links about our wintertime lakes on CLA’s Facebook page, along with information to help you make your best guess.
